About Egoboo

Egoboo is a colloquial expression for the pleasure received from public recognition of voluntary work.

Egoboo is something else and good too… an open source, cross-platform computer game. It’s a three-dimensional dungeon crawling adventure that borrows a lot of elements from the roguelike genre. Egoboo is still under development, but it is fully playable.

It’s a free game too! Egoboo is a working cool 3d dungeon crawling game in the spirit of nethack. It uses Open GL graphics and will have randomly generated maps and customizable characters. The objective of the project is to bring the fun and depth of roguelike gameplay, kicking and screaming, into the third dimension. It is still in development, but is at a playable state.
